I would describe myself as:
I'm somewhat apprehensive about baring my soul here, but, were I before a panel for interview,I'd certainly make a determined effort to promote myself in an attempt to impress. Thankfully, my career doesn't depend on this resume, so here goes! I'm a genuine, honest and caring person with a positive outlook on life. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life, be it the first blooms of Spring, a walk on the beach, a perfect sunset or.....SHOPPING! Now, that's a Real Pleasure!! I'm also very independent and, to be honest, I haven't made a huge effort to secure a life partner up to now. As we get older the possibilities for social interaction with like-minded individuals are certainly more limited, so that's where this online site may just come to the rescue! Am I overly optimistic or merely naive? As a singleton, I'm more or less baggage-free. I'm alone yes, but not altogether lonely. I pursue a number of hobbies and interests and generally don't allow myself to feel the 'lonliness'. Best way really! This method works most of the time but alas, not all of the time!I like to keep fit but I'm no fitness fanatic. I happily pedal away on the road to nowhere on my stationary bike, newspaper in hand or Soap on screen. I love to cook, but Nigella I'm not - nor do I aspire to her Domestic Goddess credentials. I hate ironing anyway, so that swiftly takes care of any such grandiose notions! Cookery books, I have them all. They sure look impressive displayed on the kitchen shelf but, in truth, they're rarely opened. Yes, I can certainly rattle those pots 'n pans and rustle up a tasty italian or seafood 'something' to rival any eating emporium(yeah, right!). Oh, and I do know my monkfish from my mackerel, my radicchio from my radish and my Sauvignon from my Sauternes. But there is a limit to my culinary skills!!I also like to potter around in the garden but I'm no Charlie D - more fairweather gardener me.I love style, but I'm no fashion slave. Did I mention I love to shop? One can never have too many pretty dresses! This is definitely a case of being all dressed up and nowhere to go. Yet another reason I'm on here - need an occasion to don the glad rags, get out there again and have some fun!!
My ideal partner would be:
I'm not expecting a potential partner to tick all the boxes, but I am looking for that special someone who will bring joy into my life and make me smile. My 'Ideal' is someone who is sincere, affectionate, loyal and kind. The little spontaneous surprises and acts of kindness are more important than the grand gestures. I believe that a true companion/partner is someone who changes your life just by being part of it.And hey guys, not having a photo on display is like attending a social event with a brown paper bag over your head for the evening. Not a good look! So don't be shy. Say 'Cheese'!!
My ideal date would be:
Dinner, wine and good company in equally pleasant surroundings - preferably overlooking the Bay of Naples or, indeed anywhere along the Amalfi Coast. See, told you I enjoy the simple pleasures! I also like an element of surprise (spontaneous gestures and all that) so go on, surprise me!!
